Tricia Wright was born and raised in England, and moved from London to New York in 1999. She runs a full-time studio on the Hudson River, and regularly exhibits her work in solo and group exhibitions throughout the New York area, and on the West Coast. Tricia’s work explores aspects of the Home and the domestic environment; she approaches her subject both from a feminist position and also from a broader, gender-neutral base, that explores our complex relationship to this enclosed world. Her work is in public, corporate, and private collections in the UK and US, including The Hove Museum of Art (UK), White & Case LLP, Alliance Bernstein, and the American Embassy. Tricia’s paintings have been featured in Modern Painters Magazine, Art News Magazine, and the New York Observer. Awards include the Royal Overseas League International Travel Scholarship, the NYFA MARK program, and a residency with scholarship from the Vermont Studio Center. She was educated in England where she received her BA (Fine Art (Hons)) at Camberwell School of Art, London, and her PG Dip. (History & Theory of Modern Art) at Chelsea School of Art, London.
